Cacti cuteness!

Hi everyone,

Now this flipbag has safely made its way to my swap partner, I can post some process steps. The paper pad I'm using is Crate Paper's Heart Day.

My swap partner LOVES cacti so I was determined to use that sheet! I then chose two co-ordinating papers and made the flip bag. As I've only got a 6 x 6in pad I had to cut down a plain pink 12 x 12in sheet for the back and attach the three pieces of paper to the front using tape. The bottom two form pockets. You could make a third pocket too if you left the top open.

Each finished pocket is 6in wide, but to give the bottom pocket more fullness I made it slightly bigger and added a small tab to the sides and bottom.

First I decorated the bottom pocket using Crate Paper Heart Day ephemera, using varying depth foam pads. For the deepest foam pad, I actually cheat and use window insulating strip as it's cheap! Also, before I glue anything down, I always use Blu-Tack to try things out.

To make the tags, I just played around with more ephemera and made sure they co-ordinated with the bottom pocket.

I used a cake pop stick, folded crepe paper and layers of paper and and patterned acetate to make the heart embellishment.

All the goodies are hidden behind the tags and tucked inside the pockets. I love the little leather tassel!

Happy crafting! xx
